Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has officially announced the sequel to his iconic 1993 film Khalnayak. The new movie is titled “Khalnayak Returns” (Khalnayak 2) and has already created huge excitement among fans across India.

The sequel was officially announced on 24 April 2026, where Sanjay Dutt also unveiled the first glimpse/teaser of the film.
In the teaser, Dutt returns as the legendary villain Ballu Balram, showing a darker and more intense look than before. The visuals include fire, chaos, and his signature dialogue and style, bringing back nostalgia from the original film.
Story Idea Came From Jail
One of the most interesting revelations is that the idea of Khalnayak 2 came during Sanjay Dutt’s time in jail.
He shared that around 4,000 inmates contributed ideas for the sequel, and one of those concepts is now being developed into the film.
